Blueberry Pie Eating Contest
The All American Blueberry Pie Eating Contest takes place on Sat and Sun at 2PM. Anyone can enter. We limit the event to the first 10 people to sign up. Sign up is at the stage before 1PM.
There are 2 categories. 12 & under / Adult . Winners receive a T shirt, fresh blueberry pie, and bragging rights.
Is there an Entry Fee?
No! The event is FREE to attend.
Pets
Well behaved pets are allowed at the event, but guests are Strongly encouraged to leave Fido at home. The streets can get crowded, and even the gentlest dogs may be uncomfortable and react unpredictably to strangers in close proximity as well as other dogs. You bring your dog at your own risk. We are not responsible for damage your pet causes due to its presence at the event! Also, please keep in mind that some visitors are intimidated by dogs so be considerate of how your dog might be perceived by others. We want everyone to have a good experience.
Parking Lots
Public parking can be found across the street from 1st Methodist Church at 439 E 5th Ave, Mt Dora, FL 32757. The lot is small so look around for residents parking cars in their yards. They typically charge around $10-$20 per car to get you within walking distance to the event.
Shuttles
The easiest way to get to and from the event is to take the hassle free shuttle. Shuttles run from 900 Lincoln Ave (Corner of Lincoln Ave and Highland St) Sat and Sun 9AM-5:30PM Any proceeds collected benefit Kiwanis.
